Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

In Mrs.Collins class we have just finished working on a project on recycling. We are all supposed to make a  project with things we have laying around in our homes. It was worth 500 points if we make it, and present it.

In the projects we have seen people making candles, dolls, trash cans, and many different things. In there I made a cinamon and vinnilla candle  with super glue and an old jar. It took me 2 hours.

The thing I made was a utensil holder, such as a hair brush and a tooth brush holder. I made it out of an old cans and decrotive duct tape.

In the end we learned that it is fun and easy to make your own things, while also saving money.

6th grade advertisements

6th Grade Advertisements

Mr. Kerby’s 6th grade classes each tasked with the creation of an advertisement. That advertisement had to include a unique slogan, logo, endorsement, and product and/or service. Then the designing took place. Colors then flew out. At the end of it all there where advertisements about everything from McDonald’s to RENT-A-FRIEND.

7th Grade Veterans Essay

Mrs Thomas’ 7th grade classes wrote Veteran Essays about a member of their family or someone they knew that was a Veteran. Their essays told about their experiences and how tragic the war was. Some experiences in the wars were devastatingly sad. The Veterans had to spend time away from their families and friends. We are very proud of the Veterans and the people who still fight for the preservation of our country.
